Focused Automatic Billing And Coding
- You put in the clinical information, we automatically get
the ICD9 and CPT®
codes and create the Bill for you in the background - why should you
have to waste time being a "coding cashier"?
- Automatic billing for deliveries, c-sections, miscarriages,
ectopics, and over a hundred possible Gyn surgeries.
- You simply review the final Bill, adjust as needed to
refine information only you can know, then Email, Print, or Export the
Bill.
- Coming in next release: automatic billing for office visits
and consults
(working now for some clinical circumstances, however billing trees and
orders are now fully available - see below)

Customizable Electronic Billing & Coding
- The entire database of CPT®
and ICD9 codes are at your disposal to look up - not as nice as our
automatic part, but better than delaying and having to look up in a
book or hunt and peck on a charge sheet.
- Customizable Coding "Trees" help you get to frequently used
codes rapidly. This is just like your usual paper office list
of commonly used codes, only better because it is organized in an
expandable/collapsible tree table.
- Best of all, you can create many trees and associate them
with the clinical encounter. For example, you wouldn't need
surgical codes while in the office, and office codes while in the OR,
so you can have a surgery tree and an office tree. Then, add
or subtract codes as you see fit to match your own personal clientele.
- New
- Office Orders (labs, imaging, etc) and follow up
appointments

Automatic Dictations
- Let's face it, most of us use the same techniques the
majority of the time - especially routine cesarean sections or
hysterectomies. That repetition is what makes us skilled. Why
bother re-dictating the same words every time? Just use the
many pre-dictated and transcribed surgical descriptions and modify the
minor changes on the fly in seconds.
- Your automatic dictations need not be transcribed, or
signed later in medical records after transcribing - simply set the
particular information for your patient, then Print or Email them
electronically signed, and automatically billed - in under one
minute!
- You and your hospital can save thousands on transcription
costs - the average physician spends $300-$1000 per month on
transcription costs - we can easily save you half of that and more EACH
and EVERY month!

Mobile Voice Dictations
- For those difficult surgeries that just don't fit the mold,
or for the consults or referral letters where templates simply don't
work, you can still dictate - right there, on your PocketPC!
Then, send the encrypted dictation ".wav" file to your transcriptionist
via email. They will get it immediately, just as if you used
your hospital or phone system (and much faster if you accumulate
dictations on a tape). Then, the transcriber simply uses our
freely available Desktop Companion Software to "decrypt" the wav file
and use the built in transcriber features to create your final
document. You'll still have to go sign it later, so you'll
want to use the pre-built customizable templates as often as possible
to save you time. Would you rather be taking care of patients
instead of taking care of charts, paper, and medical records?

Automatic ObGyn Operative Notes
- The majority of ObGyn surgeries are preset in
ObGynPocketPro - you will finish your entire operative note and brief
operative note in seconds - with a complete turnaround time from
surgery time to completed, signed, dated, and billed in minutes! - that
can take up to a month in many practices, and more.
- The current patient information (diagnosis, anesthesia,
findings, etc) are integrated into the template.
- The templates are completely customizable to fit your own
style.
- You can make minor changes on the fly, or major changes on
the Desktop Companion so you don't have to type a lot on the PocketPC.

Physician to Physician Connectivity
- Email, Beam, or Handoff your patients electronically, to
facilitate group coverage.
- For example, your partner performs a cesarean over the
weekend for you when your patient comes in labor. She then
sends you via email the updated record, and now you know the latest
information when you check on the patient.
- ObGynPocketPro searches through your PocketPC email, to
find special encrypted patient notes, so all you need to do is review
the patient.
- An audit trail is maintained as a permanent part of the
record, so you can quickly see where and when the record changed hands,
in compliance with HIPAA.

Professional Wireless Document Printing
- Rich Text Format documents give you perfect legibility, are
signed and dated for you, and can be printed virtually anywhere.
- With a WiFi network at your hospital or office, you can
print to ANY NETWORKED printer. (In my practice, I can print to a
printer in labor and delivery, medical records, my office biller's
printer, the doctor's lounge across from the OR for brief
surgery notes, and many other places).
- Most printers have an infrared receiver, so if you're not
networked, don't have WiFi (wireless network), or just need to print to
a printer right in front of you, infrared works great.
- Bluetooth is even better than infrared, but less
common. However, HP and others sell many Bluetooth printers,
and Bluetooth adapters are also available to connect to any printer you
may already own.
- See Mobile printing to learn more about how to print, and
what your options are.
- See Mobile Print Help on your pocket PC - its comes along
with ObGynPocketPro courtesy of ObTech and HP.

Secure Emailing of Notes and Full Records
- Email any patient note to anyone in a secure manner - they
will need to have the free Desktop companion downloadable from this
site. Furthermore, you can email the entire patient record to
any other user of ObGynPocketPro.
- EXAMPLE1: You do a delivery on Jane
Smith who is normally seen by Dr Jones, so you want to keep your
partner Dr. Jones updated. You email him the entire patient.
The next time Dr. Jones runs ObGynPktPro, he goes to the Patient list,
selects Patient->Receive Patient->Retrieve Emailed
Patient. The software will search his emails for sent
patients, and automatically load it in! Its that simple. Now,
when Dr. Jones sees Jane for her post partum visit, he will instantly
have access to her delivery information (instead of trying to figure
out why he doesn't remember her delivery).
- EXAMPLE2: You performed a
c-section on Jane, and you want to integrate the operative note into
both your hospital's record system and your office record
system. At your hospital, they use an EMR system - so you
email to the data migrator. They receive the encrypted file,
then can use the program to cut and past the note in any program they
have - and they wont even need to transcribe anything, since the
operative note is already done for you courtesy of ObGynPktPro's
automatic dictations. At your office, you still have an old
paper chart. So, you email the note to your office medical
records, and they print it out to put in your paper chart. Or, you can
print it out directly to your WiFi networked printer that's in the
medical records room.

Patient Entry Companion (PC software)
- We all know its tedious to enter a bunch of information on
a PDA, so instead, have your office staff do it on the Desktop
Companion.
- Just have them enter the basic patient demographics, and
some general medical information. Then, you just sync up your
device to get the information.
- Your office staff can create a patient group - Wednesday's
patients - and enter everyone on your patient schedule for the day -
you simply sync up at the start of the day, and you have everyone
entered!

Transcription Entry Companion (PC software)
- You've created a dictation - either a consult, or an
operative note. Now, you need someone to transcribe it.
- You email the dictation file to the transcriber, and they
use the Desktop Companion to transcribe.
- The Desktop Companion includes Express Scribe, a great
program from NCH Sound that has full transcribing capabilities,
including handling hardware peddles for your transcriber. You do not
have to pay an additional fee to use the Express Scribe software.

Automatic Circumcision Tracking, Documenting & Billing
- Handling the entire tracking, documenting, and billing
process for circumcision is now fully automated.
- You deliver a boy, then you check the box to indicate the
family's desire for circumcision. Later, you check your circ
list, and the baby boy is in the list. When you are ready to
do the circ, the circ note and bill is ready for you to create in
seconds.
- A vast majority of billing losses for physicians relate to
circ handling - that is no longer an issue with ObGynPocketPro's new
seamless feature.

Program Installation directly to memory card (save space)
- PocketPCs are so powerful, you want to have many programs,
not just ours.
- The entire ICD9 and CPT®
code database at your disposal on your PDA takes up a lot of space by
itself (2.7M), so you can now install directly to your memory card.
- For optimal
performance (since memory cards are slower than main memory), you
should install to main memory, the use the File->Move command to
move all the nonessential files to the memory card.
- Flexibility,
Power, and Simplicity - you expect it, we deliver it!
